Zoetis had difficulty implementing past PLM systems. Without a successful system in place the company relied on manual workarounds that impacted visibility and resulted in errors, delays and quality outcomes. Zoetis also had large data files for its parts, but the files weren’t coherent and contained multiple types of data and differing fields.
Zoetis was unwilling to give up on finding a PLM system and with the help of ZWS, the company implemented Propel PLM. Using CloudState, ZWS integrated Zoetis’ existing PDMPro system to its new PLM system. ZWS’s data migration expertise normalized the varying fields of data in Zoetis’ different parts, including hundreds of fields relevant to the company’s product information, and automatically uploaded the data to the new PLM system.
Zoetis now has all the benefits of a modern PLM system. Its PLM system allows for flexibility and scalability as the company grows and increases system adoption. With a new bidirectional integration between its PDM and PLM systems, information can be kept current by pushing data from the engineering PDM system to PLM as changes are needed, thus minimizing errors and streamlining information flow.
Hologic maintains a complex engineering environment, and engineers were required to manually work Agile PLM in the areas of part number assignment, attribute updates, attachment of platform neutral files, and change management. They wished to enhance productivity and improve accuracy of information by automating these tasks through an integration solution.
DesignState integration software from Zero Wait-State linked the engineering world of SolidWorks EPDM to Agile PLM, enabling data sharing with the enterprise system.
With ZWS’s help, Hologic was able to seamlessly integrate their CAD environment and Agile PLM system and rollout this integration to their larger engineering team. This integration provides early visibility of design information and better awareness of manufacturing and change management from engineering, which should improve product quality and design cost and time.
ProNova needed to implement Agile PLM and integrate Engineering Collaboration to manage the development of an innovative proton therapy suite, using cryogenic magnets. However, they are a small start up with a limited budget and needed to find a solution that was in-line their their budgetary needs.
The Zero Wait-State team worked side by side with ProNova to come up with the best solution that catered to their financial restrictions. ZWS coordinated the PC and EC implementation in a short timeframe at a reasonable cost that fit with ProNova's goals.
ProNova was able to complete the implementation within weeks and to manage their innovative proton therapy suite. With their solution in place they were able to efficiently track and manage each aspect of the project effectively.
