Zero Wait-State developed feature enhancements of the DescriptionState process extension (PX) in order to meet the needs of W.L. Gore.

W.L. Gore was able to quickly test and then implement DescriptionState in their production environment. They now have more consistent and automated Descriptions in their Agile PLM system which reduces errors, speeds up searches and aids in parts reuse.
The Challenge
Instron's engineers spent a lot of time working in their Agile PLM environment to pull part numbers, update bill of materials (BOM) information, and add platform neutral file attachments. They wished to enhance productivity and improve accuracy of information by automating these tasks by using an integration solution.
The Solution
DesignState integration software from Zero Wait-State links the engineering world of SolidWorks EPDM to Agile PLM, enabling data sharing with the enterprise system.

With ZWS’s help, Instron was able to seamlessly integrate their CAD environment and Agile PLM. This integration provides early visibility of design information and better awareness of manufacturing and change management from engineering to improve product quality and design cost and time.
The Challenge
Fives had data from multiple sources including ERP and Legacy PLM but lacked a complete product record including BOM and attribute data. This lack of information hindered business operations downstream.
The Solution
Using business rules and identifying unique elements in multiple data sources allowed ZWS to collate information into a complete singular record which was used in the new PLM system and supported business outcomes.

Thanks to their newly enriched data Fives is able to adopt more consistent and uniform business processes. Fives' product information, now contained in the company's PLM system, providing all teams with comprehensive, cohesive and intelligible product information.
